Cookie Policy
This Policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on this site, what they are for, and how to manage your preferences.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences for a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them on every visit.
2. How we obtain your consent
On your first visit a banner is shown at the bottom of the screen. Non-essential cookies are only set after you click “Accept all”. If you click “Reject non-essential”, only strictly necessary cookies are used.
Your choice is stored for 6 months. You can change it at any time through the “Preferences” link in the footer.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
Essential to the operation of the site. They do not require consent and cannot be disabled through the banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ag_consent | Stores your cookie decision | 6 months |
ag_age | Records your age confirmation (18+) | 30 days |
ag_session | Maintains the session and protects against abusive requests | Session |
4. Analytics cookies
These help us understand which pages are most read and where readers run into difficulty. They are only set with your consent and the data is processed in aggregate.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ag_stats_id | Anonymous visitor identifier used to count sessions | 13 months |
ag_stats_ses | Distinguishes separate sessions from the same visitor | 30 minutes |
5. Third-party cookies
We do not embed programmatic advertising or behavioural tracking networks.
Links to operators may carry a campaign identifier in the address. That identifier is read by the operator only after you leave this site and is governed by that operator’s cookie policy, not ours.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to our banner, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
Instructions are available in the help pages for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
